The NATIONAL AVIATION AWARDS, has opened its nominations process for its maiden edition, the first of its kind in Ghana, and will be awarding and recognizing distinctions exhibited in every classification of the aviation industry. These categories are wide ranging and stretches from domestic and international airline operators, to service providers, travel and tourism companies, insurance and supportive financial institutions, local airports and many more. Ghana’s most highly performing aviation persons and companies will be selected based on their performance, financial, operational and customer service standards as well as their management’s innovation, market leadership, treatment and dedication to their customers and employees. The cream of Ghana’s aviation sector would be recognized and celebrated in a long awaited, much coveted industry where there are numerous heroes of change over the years of whom few have ever been recognized. This Industry gathering and networking forum is expected to champion excellence and improve business relationships. .
It is meant to streamline the provision of good customer service and create awareness for the depth of hard work and due diligence that goes into providing safe and secure compliant travel behind the scenes of the industry. These prestigious awards will be presented on 29th July 2016 in an event to be held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel at 6pm. The event will be in partnership with Ministries of Transport and Tourism, Ghana Tourism Authority, Foreign Embassies and the West & Central African Division of IATA (International Air Transport Authority). With a strong and disciplined governing board made up of stalwart Ghanaians well versed and experienced in their field of play, the selection, nomination, due diligence and award positioning of each category of the Ghana Aviation Awards would confidently be assured and fully endorsed by the survey company AC Nielson & Co. Trained and groomed in policy, procedure and compliance, she demonstrates the ability to deliver mission-critical results to help shape the marketing pitch of the companies she has worked with. Passionate about project delivery and innovative leadership she uses this to communicate and evangelize about the great customer service experience needed to enhance company bottom lines. Formerly Head of Sales and Marketing at Virgin Atlantic Ghana, previously Strategic Business Development Manager Africa at BCD Travel UK and prior to that Ground Services Manager – Training and Compliance at Virgin Nigeria. All this was after a successful 11-year career from 1995 in various operational and customer service positions at British Airways plc. With over 19 years in the world of customer service and product excellence, she has developed both the art and science of creating, innovating and delivering the right type of customer service to the right type of customer and most especially at the right time for both parties.
